Dear visitors! Note that the AZ Museum will be closed from April 1 due to the exposition change.
The second part of "AZ Adrenaline" covers the exhibition «Anatoly Zverev. On the Threshold of the New Museum», which took place in the New Manezh Hall in 2014, while the building of our museum was being renovated.
The project was dedicated to the upcoming museum opening and also to the gift of Alika Costakis — over 600 works of Anatoly Zverev, archive documents and artifacts from the George Costakis’ collection became a part of the Museum collection.
Around 300 works of the 1957s-1960s, one of the most productive periods of Anatoly Zverev artistic life, were presented In the New Manezh Hall.
The exposition became a museum laboratory, where openings and discoveries have already happened: starting from the design of future AZ Museum rooms to the examination of the just obtained paintings, unknown even for the specialists.
For a large number of people the exhibition became quite a discovery — such Zverev (absolutely not paradigmatic, highly avant-guarde) people have not seen yet.
The premiere of the 2nd episode took place on 22 April, Wednesday, 12:00
