IT IS GIVEN, MORE LIKELY, NOT AS AN INSTRUMENT TO FINISH A DRAWING, BUT AS A METHOD TO LIVE THROUGH A SITUATION. THE PERFORMATIVE NATURE OF THE PROCESS IS WHAT INTERESTS ME MOST.

Leonid Tskhe belongs to the new generation of artists. He graduated from the graphic department of the Repin Academy of Art, worked as a book illustrator, was at the origins of the Sever-7 art group (the North-7). The main motive of his painting and graphic works is urban everyday life. The images of his art are deliberately negligent, fragmented and schematic. The paint is smeared and that gives a certain dynamic to a work. The artist is a nominee of The Innovation Prize (2015) and enters the rating of top-50 most famous Russian artists.
