Peter Dyakov

I’VE BEEN REINVENTING NEW SCULPTURE FORMS FOR 10 YEARS. AM INTERESTED IN HOW ONE PERCEIVES HIMSELF, HOW THE GREAT AND THE ORDINARY LOOKS LIKE IN EFECT. I DO NOT ADORN A HUMAN, BUT AM STRIVING TO OBSERVE HOW ONE INFLUENCES THE AMBIENT, AND WHAT THE LATTER THINKS OF HIM.

Peter Dyakov studied in the Kemerevo art school, then he graduated from the Stieglitz Art Academy in Saint Petersburg. The artist worked as a decorator in the production of the movies “Under Electric Clouds” and “Dovlatov” directed by Alexey Alexeevich German. Dyakov’s method could be described as the contemporary deconstruction of the Baroque style, dominated by the absurdity and the masquerade aesthetics.
