Vladimir Nasedkin

born 1954

LINES OF GEOMETRIC FIGURES I DEPICT ON ENGRAVINGS, CARVINGS, DRAWINGS, PHOTOGRAPHS AND PAINTINGS REVEAL THE NERVE OF THE CONTEMPORARY WORLDWIDE CULTURE. IN MY ART I STRIVE TO REACH THE ENDLESS NATURE OF TIME, WHERE ONE CAN MEET PIET MONDRIAN, KAZIMIR MALEVICH, MAGIC SINGNS OF SUMERIANS AND ARCHITECTURE ELEMENTS OF THE BABYLONIAN ZIGGURATS.

In the media space, Nasedkin is called as a painter, graphic artist, photographer, sculptor, installation artist, yet he considers himself simply as an artist. Vladimir started exhibiting his art works in 1975. Since then, more than 30 personal exhibitions have been held. Today the artist is one of the most acknowledged masters of the contemporary Russian art in the world. Vladimir participated in projects of the biggest art institutions in Russia and abroad, took part in the Venice Biennale (2011, “Joseph Brodsky. Venetian Stanzas. Vladimir Nasedkin. Xylography.” (The artist’s book), The Ca’ Foscari University of Venice) and in the 5th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art (2013, the parallel program. “A Book On The Edge Of Contemporary Art”). V. Nasedkin’s art works are in collections of the State Hermitage, The Russian museum, The Tretyakov gallery, the Center Pompidou in Paris, the Albertina gallery in Vienna and in other assemblies in Russia and abroad.
