Dear visitors! Note that the AZ Museum will be closed from April 1 due to the exposition change.
Villa Reale, Monza
At the beginning of September, the first international project of AZ Museum finished in the Franco Zeffirelli Foundation (Florence). The exhibition integrated works of great Russian artists of the second part of the 20th century with the imageries of Russian film director Andrey Tarkovsky. It generated a tremendous response from the side of Mass Media, expert field and also from the public. The unusual nature of the project and its innovativeness became the reasons why "New Flight to Solaris" gained the new trajectory at the new space.
The project "New Flight to Solaris. New Trajectory" is opening in the Villa Reale in Monza on October 13, 2018. That is not the same exhibit as in Florence – the AZ Museum team headed by the CEO Natalia Opaleva and art director Polina Lobachevskaya came up with the creative solution to adjust the exhibition to the new space of the magnificent palace.
Tarkovsky created his works in the 1960s-1980s — during the period, marked in Russia by the emergence of the Unofficial Art movement.
Undoubtedly, it was the "Soviet Renaissance" — a new rise of avant-garde painting, graphics, sculpture and cinematography. The exhibit creators offer the viewers to come inside the installation of a Space Station, dotted with 22 screens depicting video art with rare photo and video shots related to the artistic life of Andrei Tarkovsky. Also, the best works of the Russian artists of the 2nd half of the 20th century are exhibited there – Anatoly Zverev, Francisco Infante, Dmitry Plavinsky, Dmitry Krasnopevtsev, Vladimir Yankilevsky, Vladimir Yakovlev, Lidia Masterkova, Petr Belenok, Ülo Sooster, Vladimir Nemukhin, Ernst Neizvestny.

AZ Museum will be on your right.

There are paid parking spaces on either side of 2nd Tverskaya-Yamskaya street or in the nearest alleys. Parking is limited, and on weekends and public holidays, the parking lots may be full.
