Dear visitors! Note that the AZ Museum will be closed from April 1 due to the exposition change.
This Is an unusual edition, consisting of 3 albums of drawings: ”Oh, Sokolniki!”, ”Marcel Marceau in Moscow” and ”In the Zoo”.
Each Zverev’s work is genius and unique. But the album version presents how the artist improvises a plenty of various topics and performs even more impressive angles and images. These rare art pieces are complemented by Zverev’s poetry and fragments of his essays.
”Oh, Sokolniki!”
This album consists of the drawings, inspired by Zverev’s life period in Sokolniki in the 1950s.
”Marcel Marceau in Moscow”
The second part of the edition presents the graphic works, performed by Zverev at the Marcel Marceau’s spectacle in Moscow, and also some rare drawings of the greatest mime artist.
”In the Zoo”
The last album consists of animalistic sketches, drawings depicting animals and birds — the works truly representing the animalistic painting tradition of previous centuries.
