Dear visitors! Note that the AZ Museum will be closed from April 1 due to the exposition change.
The exhibition catalog "Soviet Renaissance" won the Annual National Award "Book of the Year 2017", in the category "Art book". Published by the AZ Museum it presents the museum's collection of Russian art of the second half of the 20th century. This collection was assembled by Natalia Opaleva, founder and CEO of the AZ Museum, and chiefly includes works of nonconformist artists. Currently, the collection consists of over 2000 works of painters, sculptors, and graphic artists such as Dmitry Plavinsky, Dmitry Krasnopevtsev, Vladimir Nemukhin, Anatoly Zverev, Vladimir Yakovlev, Nikolay Vechtomov, Vasily Sitnikov, Vadim Sidur, Ernest Neizvestny and others. These artists of the 1960-70s were called "The second Russian Avant-guard" and their tempestuous artistic environment was known as "The Renaissance within the Garden Ring".

After leaving the station, turn first to the right into the alley, then moving forward, at the first intersection, turn left to 2nd Tverskaya-Yamskaya street. Walk a few meters. AZ Museum will be on your right.
By car
There are paid parking spaces on either side of 2nd Tverskaya-Yamskaya street or in the nearest alleys. Parking is limited, and on weekends and public holidays, the parking lots may be full.
